My Bio at Children's Book Insider

Teresa embodies the modern artist entrepreneur. She is the owner of Teresa Funke & Company and Victory House Press, which offer products, programs, and resources for readers, writers, teachers, and students. She is the award-winning author of six novels for adults and children based on true stories from WWII.

She has had over 100 short stories, articles, and essays published in commercial and literary magazines, newspapers, and anthologies. Two of her essays were listed as Notable Essays by the prestigious Best American Essays series. Teresa is also a nationwide speaker, presenter, and writer’s coach. She performs a one-woman show based on her book Dancing in Combat Boots and works with various non-profits to promote the arts, literacy, and history education.
